DESCRIPTION:\nLa Aldea de San Nicolás is celebrating Carnival 2024 between 24 February – 9 March.\nThe allegory for this year festivities is ‘Le Cinéma’. The municipality will become a large film set in which there will be no shortage of characters from classic cinema such as Charlot or the Lumiére brothers.\nHighlights:\nFriday February 9 \nat 10:00 The official program will open, like every year, with the parade organized by the educational centers from Avenida San Nicolás to Plaza de La Alameda.\nTuesday 13 February:\nat 19:30 The streets of the town center of La Aldea de San Nicolás will vibrate with the Traditional Carnival, organized by the Canarian Community Development Foundation of La Aldea in collaboration with the town hall. The activity will end with the traditional mascaritas dance and the parrandas dance enlivened by the party ‘ La Polvajera’ in the Plaza de La Alameda.\nSaturday 24 February:\n‘Day Carnival’ – Plaza de Alameda\nFrom 12:00 Hundreds of ‘Le Cinéma‘ masks  will come to the Plaza de La Alameda from to enjoy the performances of DJ Álvaro Rodríguez, the group Troveros de Asieta, and Star Music.\n‘Twilight Carnival ‘ – Plaza Proyecto de Desarrollo Comunitario\nat 19:00 a Saturday full of fun, activities, and music will continue in the Community Development Project Plaza of La Aldea with DJ Álvaro Rodríguez, Son X Tres, and the Panamaribe Orchestra.\nSunday 25 February:\nfrom 12:00 the little ones in the house will enjoy entertainment and workshops that have been scheduled for the Family Children’s Carnival in the Plaza de La Alameda.\nFriday 1 March: \nat 21:00 The carnival festival of ‘ Le Cinéma’ continues with the meeting of murgas, which will be held in the plaza Community Development Project of La Aldea with Los Majaderos and Serenquenquenes (third interpretation award at the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Carnival).\nSaturday 2 March:\nat 18:00 The traditional Carnival Parade will be held, which will begin its journey from the Los Picos warehouse, to run through the village streets where residents will be able to show off their best costumes accompanied by batucadas, troupes, DJs, murgas and floats.\nat 22:30 The first carnival party will take place in the La Aldea Community Development Project plaza with performances by DJ Toni Bob and the La Mekánica by Tamarindos orchestra.\nSaturday 9 March:\nat 18:00 The traditional burial of the sea bream, which will leave with its funeral procession from the Los Picos warehouse. All this, enlivened by Charanga La Aldea and DJ Nichel B.\nat 22:30 to end with a good taste in the mouth after the burial of the bream, the second big party of these carnival festivities will take place in the Community Development Project Plaza of La Aldea and will be entertained by DJ Nichel B and Armonía Show.\n\n​\n
