DESCRIPTION:\nThe Fred. Olsen Express Transgrancanaria Bike 2024 takes place between 16-19 May. This is the IX edition of the test that is included in the UCI calendar. The competition format will once again be configured in four open stages with new routes accessible to all types of participants.\nThe fifth scoring stop of the Gran Canaria Championship organized by the Gran Canaria Island Cycling Federation ( FICGC).\n \nThursday 16 May: Stage 1\nCercados de Araña-Cercados de Araña. This 31km circular route explores part of the spectacular landscape of Pilancones. Starting from Cercados de Araña to begin a large loop through the Chira Dam, Morro de La Hierbahuerto, Llanos de la Santidad, Lomitos de Pedro Afonso, Escusabarajas, again Chira Dam, and finish at Cercados de Araña.\nFriday 17 May: Stage 2\nMaspalomas- Ayagaures. It is a 23.5km timed stage with individual starts. It will start from the nerve center of the event in Parque Sur and will have its finish line in Ayagaures.\nSaturday 18 May: Stage 3\nCañon del Águila-Cañon del Águila. A new route of 45.6km will cover the south and east of the Amurga massif, as well as part of the Tirajana ravine. A stage with long stretches to ride.\nSunday 19 May: Stage 4\nMaspalomas – Maspalomas. The culmination of the event with a route of almost 70 km that has it all.
