DESCRIPTION:\nTunte, the gorgeous “municipal capital” of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, is celebrating one of its Patron Saint festivities, in honour of Santiago Apóstol (Saint James the Apostle ) 12-27 July 2024.\nThe Feast Day is observed on Thursday, 25 July which is also a local bank holiday throughout the municipality.\nFriday 12 July:\n20:00 Pregón, proclamation of the festivities in the church.\n22:00 ‘Noche Joven’ in the plaza with performances by TataBand, Pedro Afonso and Orchestra Armonía Show\n\nSaturday 13 July: “Bajada de Santiago El Chico and “Tenderetunte”\n18:30 mass of the  “Bajada del Camino de Santiago el Chico” followed by the pilgrimage walk with the statue from el Pinar to Tunte at 20:00.  You will see hundreds of people, dressed in traditional Canarian clothing walking the old footpath from el Pinar to Tunte accompanied by a music group.\nat 22:00 Tenderetunte at the plaza with Canarian music, dancing and some tasty enyesque, finger food.\nSunday 14 July:\n08:00 Tiro al plato in Seguero\n20:00 Children’s show\nThursday 18 July:\n18:00 Foam Party at the Plaza\n20:00 dessert competition\nFriday 19 July:\n20:00 ‘Fiesta del Mayor’, a festive night for the “elderly” with music shows and more music performances.\nSaturday 20 July:\n20:30 Romería, pilgrimage offering through the streets of Tunte, starting from Algarrobero\n23:00 The Big festive party of Romero with the music performances by D’Music, Leyenda Joven, orchestra Start Music and DJ\nSunday 21 July:\n20:30 ‘Encuentro de Solistas’.
