DESCRIPTION:\nThe Guanarteme neighbourhood in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is celebrating their traditional festivities of Virgen del Pilar 2024 between 3-13 October. Verbenas, children’s parties, drag and queen galas and charity events will make up the varied range of events for all audiences this year and also recover the traditional pilgrimage after five years.\nProgram 2024:\nThursday, 3 October:\nat 18:00 a parade of the Sres. Papagüevos de Guanarteme, which will travel through the main streets of the neighbourhood.\nat 20:30 in the Plaza del Pilar, the celebrations will officially begin with the Pregón de Inmaculada Medina, and after,at 21:00  there will be the concert of La Trova, which celebrates its 20th anniversary.\nFriday, 4 October\nat 21:00 the Gala to Select the Queen of the Fiestas del Pilar and Miss Guanarteme 2024, presented by Wendy Fuentes and Iban Padrón and with a performance by Aduén Amaya – Bamboleo to close the evening.\nSaturday, 5 October\nat 11:00 a children’s party, which will include water slides and a big foam party\nat 20:00 the Gala to Select the Children’s Queen and Junior Queen of the Fiestas del Pilar 2024\nat 22:00 a tribute concert to Selena, which will be followed by the Chicas Melodía Concert.\nSunday, 6 October\nat 13:00 the Plaza del Pilar will vibrate with the La Mekanica by Tamarindos orchestra concert\nat 20:30 the Gala for the Election of La Lady and Grand Lady El Pilar 2024, presented by Cataysa Mogollón and Rubén Dizá.\nMonday, 7 October\nat 17:30 children’s games and a popular snack for adults and children.\nat 20:00 the Great Brillo de Esperanza Parade will take place, organized by the Spanish Association Against Cancer of Las Palmas.\nTuesday, 8 October\nat 17:30 the fun will continue with more children’s games\nat 20:30the Great Night of Copla, with the participation of artists such as Ballet Paulina, Malena Sevilla, José Ortiz, and Rosario Mohedano.\nWednesday, 9 October\nat 21:00 the show ‘Entre gotas de Rocío’  by Yamilei Cruz and Mariachi Peleón.\nThursday, 10 October  – Youth Day\nat 19:00 the III Dance Exhibition Meeting ‘Guanarteme is dance’, which will feature the participation of several dance schools on the island. The day will conclude with a performance by Óscar Martínez DJ Los 40 Principales.\nFriday, 11 October\nat 18:00 the traditional Romería Ofrenda a Nuestra Señora del Pilar, a pilgrimage offering through the main streets of the neighbourhood.\nat 22:00 in the Plaza del Pilar enjoy the performance of the Grupo La Polvajera.\nat 00:00 the Papagüevos will invite the neighbours to enjoy the fireworks at Las Canteras Beach with a little street parade, and the day will end with the party by Armonía Show.\nSaturday, 12 October\nat 11:00 the Mascot of the El Pilar-Farray Business Association will be presented,\nat 13:00 the procession will take place after the singing of Ave María.\nat 14;30 The afternoon will continue with the performance of the Leyenda Joven Group\nat 21:00 the El Pilar 2024 Drag Queen Election Gala, presented by Tomás Galván and Drag Sethlas, with a special performance by Rebeca and a concert by Salvapantallas to close the day.\nSunday 13 October\nat 12:00 the 19th edition of the Encuentro de los Srs.
