DESCRIPTION:\nPlaza de Santiago de Gáldar will host the 2nd Animal Welfare Day, II Jornada de Bienestar Animal on Saturday 26 October 2024. From 09.30 to 13.30 the Animal Welfare Day will include children’s workshops, demonstrations, and talks about shearwaters, among many other initiatives.\nThe event will also include a space for adopting pets and will offer talks with the aim of raising awareness about responsibility, ownership, care, and attention of pets. There will also be a stand for collecting pet food.\nThe event is organised by the local council in collaboration with the Youth Council, the Official College of Veterinarians of Las Palmas, ‘Amigos de las Pardelas’, and the companies and animal rescue organisations: Clínica Veterinaria Unipet de San Isidro, Clínica Veterinaria Agaete, Norte Animal, 7 días 7 vidas, Salva un podenco, Grupo Nokhoi Servicios Caninos, Centro canino Odei with the canine trainer Adrián Cedrés, Animal Rescue with its president Jacob Déniz, Flor y Fauna La Amazonia, Petklan and Huellas por Agaete.\n \n
