Wednesday, 16 July, is also a local bank holiday in the municipality \nThe Fiestas del Carmen program includes religious, traditional, cultural, and festive events for everyone. Aquatics, sports, youth and children’s activities, traditional games, concerts, even the now traditional “lowering of the branch” a ritual offering dating back to pre-Christian conquest, and of course the main “Romería” pilgrimage processions; all topped off by the annual highlight of maritime processions between Arguineguín and Puerto de Mogán.\n\nARGUINEGUÍN HIGHLIGHTS:\nMonday 7 July:\n12:00 The program will start with the ringing of the bells.\nFrom Monday to Thursday, there will be chess, ronda, zanga, and domino tournaments. There will also be a family scavenger hunt in Las Marañuelas square on Monday, and a summer cinema on Las Marañuelas beach for the general public from Tuesday to Thursday at 21:00 on Playa de Las Marañuelas.\n \nFriday 11 July: \n19:00 The first of the afternoon parties on Calle José Manuel Santana “Chiringos de Música”, the beach bar area, with Alejandro Santos, Apolo, and Pedro Afonso.\n21:30 The 6th Antoñito Segura Memorial in Plaza de Las Marañuelas.\nThe Los Mala Vida group, comprising family and friends of Segura, a driving force behind folklore in the municipality, as well as soloists such as Simón Artiles, Dácil Castellano, Daniel Moreno, and Pino Herrera.\n23:30 EGB Night on Calle José Manuel Santana, Chiringos de Música\nSaturday 12 July:\nPilgrimage – Offering and processions\nOne of the most popular events for locals and visitors will take place: the Pilgrimage-Offering to the Virgin of Carmen in Arguineguín. This event is organised by the Los Pescadores Folklore Group and the Mogán Town Council, with 23 participating carts. An afternoon with Paco Guedes and Savia Nueva in the beach bar area.\n\n\nPLAYA DE MOGÁN HIGHLIGHTS:\nWednesday 16 July: The Feast Day\n 19:00 the Eucharist and land procession in honour of the Virgin of Carmen in Plaza Doctor Pedro Betancor León.\nAfterwards, the Seafood Gastronomy Fair and Verbena, a street party with Yoni and Aya at the Fishing Pier.\nThe events will be distributed mainly between Plaza Doctor Pedro Betancor León and Plaza de Las Gañanías. At these locations, attendees will also enjoy summer cinema screenings, zanga, cinquillo, domino, and Parcheesi tournaments, and traditional games.
