The carnival festivities will kick off on Friday, March 14th, with Shakile Ramírez’s opening speech.\n📍San Gregorio, San Juan, and Franchy Roca will host the main events, which include a children’s gala, a senior centre murga, a Drag Queen Gala, a High Heel Race, a Grand Parade, and a silent parade for those sensitive to noise, among others.\n🐠The celebration will conclude on Wednesday, March 26th, with the popular Burial of the Sardine.\nThe allegory for the festivities is…\n🎌 El Manga / The Manga\nA tribute to the world of anime and Japanese culture with costumes full of color and fantasy.\n \nHighlights:\n14 March:\n19:30 The announcing carnival procession.\nRoute: from Parque Francy Roca passing through the streets; María Encarnación Navarro, Gago Coutinho, Ruiz, and Avenida de la Constitución to end in Plaza de San Gregorio.\n20:00 the starting gun will be fired at the kiosk. The opening speech, followed by the reception and presentation of the candidates who will participate in the Telde 2025 Drag Queen Gala, with the corresponding drawing of the performers.\nSunday 16 March: Postponed to 23 March \n10:00 Children’s Carnival, dedicated to the little ones in the house. The José Vélez Auditorium in San Juan Urban Park will host choreographies by ten local dance groups, with 39 performances, presented by journalist Carolina Uche and Rafaelillo Clown.\nMonday 17 March: Postponed to 24 March \n17:30 Also at the Auditorium, the space will be transformed into a dance floor, with the anime manga playing, for a K-Pop competition that will leave no one indifferent.\nThursday 20 March:\n18:00 To guarantee plenty of laughs, the traditional High Heel Race will take place in the San Gregorio Shopping District.\nFriday 21 March:\n11:00 The Municipal Market, in the Narea multipurpose area, will open its doors for a special event, inviting the public to sample traditional Carnival tortillas and participate in Carnival Hat Day, during which people are encouraged to come to the facilities to shop wearing the most original headdress.\n17:00 Telde will make history with its first silent Carnival parade ✨🎭 An experience full of color, costumes, and joy, designed especially for those who prefer a quiet environment.\n📍 Route: Franchy Roca, María Encarnación Navarro, Rivero Bethencourt, Congreso, and back to Franchy Roca.\n21:00 Drag Queen Gala. The José Vélez Auditorium will be decked out to welcome the Telde 2025 Drag Queen Gala, presented by Ibán Padrón, Miss Claudia, and Supreme Deluxe. Performances by St. Pedro and Soraya Naoyin will round off one of the most anticipated evenings.\nSaturday 22 March:\n17:00 The Grand Parade.\nThe parade will set off from Avda. Alejandro Castro Jiménez. The parade will continue along calle Roque, Licenciado Gilberto Monzón Mayor, Antonio Romero de Armas, León y Castillo, Juan Carlos I, Pedro Agustín del Castillo, GC-100, Músico Victor Ureña, and Profesor Lucas Arencibia, ending on Francisco Villén Lucena Street with more than 35 floats.\n22:00 The festivities will continue at the San Juan Park Auditorium with the Acuarela Orchestra, and from midnight with DJ Promaster.\n\n\nWednesday 26 March:\n19:00 The celebration will conclude with the popular Burial of the Sardine, which will run from Franchy Roca Park to Plaza de San Juan, the venue where the carnival will bid farewell until next year.\n \n\n
