The municipality of Tejeda has celebrated their Almond blossom festivities around the first weekend of February for decades.
Fiestas del Almendro en Flor Tejeda is one of the most popular festivities during the winter season on Gran Canaria which brings thousands of visitors to the officially one of the most beautiful villages in Spain.
Due to the current situation with COVID-19, the local government has officially announced the suspension of their festivities.
This year would have also marked the 50th anniversary of the Almond blossom festivities in Tejeda, now postponed to 2022.
Almond trees has already started blossoming up in the mountains daubing the beautiful spring scenery in an experience most definitely worth the drive along the islands oldest roads.
