Teror resumes the celebration of its main festivals with the arrival of summer, after the forced suspension of last year due to the pandemic. The Water Festival, the most important festival in the municipality after the ‘Fiesta del Pino’ ( The Patron Saint of Gran Canaria ) The Pine Festival, will again this year have a program of religious and popular events, which will be held in two days, on July 10 and 17, in spaces with controlled capacity, both in the Teror Auditorium, as in the Plaza del Pino and the Plaza de Sintes. The conductor Pilar Rodríguez will announce the festival to start on July 10. The main acts will be on July 17, with religious Mass, offering and pyrotechnic show of the Burning of the Ship and the Castle and a concert of La Trova.
The festive program will culminate with the 10th Saxophone Festival, which will take place from July 17 to 25.
The Latin Festival ‘Villa de Teror’ is postponed to 2022.


The program of events in honour of San Isidro Labrador will open on July 10, in the Teror Auditorium, at 20:30, with the reading of the proclamation by Pilar Rodríguez Pérez, director and founder of the ‘Gran Canaria’s Women Band’ and tenured flute teacher at the Academy of the Gran Canaria Philharmonic Orchestra and the Wind Group of the same. Saturday, July 17, is the main day of the Water Festival. At 19:30 the Mass in honour of San Isidro Labrador in Plaza del Pino, with limited capacity, similar to that of the Basilica del Pino.

Then, at around 20:00, the Offering from the neighbourhoods of Teror to San Isidro Labrador, presented by Israel Acevedo and with the performance of La Parranda de Teror , which will feature the representations of the neighbourhoods of the municipality, delivering their offerings to the Basilica del Pino to allocate them to the most needy families through Cáritas Diocesana.
