The Maspalomas neighbourhood of San Fernando, once a simple village of tomato growers, enjoys its patron saint celebrations from 26 May – 5 June 2022.
The Day for the popular romería pilgrimage for the patron saint San Fernando will be on Saturday 29 May, where attendees will be likely dressed in traditional costumes and processing through the streets around the church.
There is also a funfair that has been set up in San Fernando during the festivities.

Thursday 26 May
at 20:00, Pregón at the culture centre of San Fernando, proclamation by Ana Maria Rivero Rodríguez, the founder of Bazar Ani, following a music performance by Besay Pérez.
at 21:00 The inauguration of the photo exhibition in the Culture centre. From May 26 to June 30, the exhibition “El Poblado de San Fernando. 60 años de historia”, a collective exhibition of photographs donated by residents of the San Fernando de Maspalomas to commemorate its 60th anniversary.

at 20:30 ‘Cantador Sinfonicó’ concert in Parque de San Fernando with Ciro Corujo, Manuel Estupiñan, Pedro Manuel Afonso. This is a new tour taking place in the Canary Islands of ‘symphonic singer’, a company of 25 people to make the edition in *symphonic format* of the recognition of the figure of the singer in the world a reality.
