The Vegueta Artisan Craft & Culture Market returns to its usual location in the historic centre of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria from 24 April 2022

“The City Council of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria has authorized the extension of the dates of the provisional transfer to Santa Catalina of the Vegueta Craft and Culture Market , which consists of 15 stalls, until 17 April 2022. This enclave, in addition to attracting the attention of the local public, is usually a relevant focus of attention for travellers who visit the city. Among them, the cruise ships that make their stopovers in the capital of Gran Canaria.
Every Sunday, the Vegueta Craft and Culture Market offers typical products made by Canarian artisans, as well as fruits and vegetables from the land.
The bazaar, which is held every Sunday in Felipe Massieu Falcón, Los Balcones and Plaza del Pilar Nuevo streets, has been taking place since February 8 in Santa Catalina Park, in the surroundings of Lolita Pluma, due to the occupation of his usual area by the film crew of the film ‘The Mother’, starring Jennifer López.
The filming has been extended over time due to health reasons, so the disassembly will remain until the aforementioned April 17. After this period, from Sunday 24, the market will be held again in its usual location.”
