A new Handicraft Market aimed for cruise passenger in the Santa Catalina Park with ten stands to offer the island’s identity to tourists arriving this season.
The Cabildo de Gran Canaria and the city council of Las Palmas joint initiative will allow artisans who are part of the Foundation for the Study and Development of Canarian Crafts (Fedac) to offer their creations to visitors.
This market is located in the Plaza Islas Canarias and will be open from 9 to 17 hours. The stalls, which may be expandable to 30, will be available on November 23, as well as December 3, 14, 22 and 27, timed for the greatest transfer of cruise passengers.
Visitors can discover items from different trades, from cigars, leather goods, fashion, doll shop, stained glass, fabric decoration, recycled material, ceramics, jewelry, soap to felt.
