“Ruta de Vinos D.O. Gran Canaria is the first event of the ‘Triana, Barrio Gastronómico’ project by the local business Association in the capital to promote and support the establishments and the area. It is a culinary route happening during the month of June, through the restaurants, winebars and cafes of this Las Palmas de Gran Canaria famous shopping district to discover dishes made with ‘kilometre 0’ products, paired with wines from the Denomination of Origin Gran Canaria.
26 establishments participate in this first event “Ruta de Vinos D.O. Gran Canaria” (Gran Canaria wine route) in the Triana area along with fifteen wineries; Los Lirios, Eidán, Mocanal, Tirajanas, Mondalón, Plaza Perdida , La Higuera Mayor, Agala, Camaretas Basin, Caldera, Vandama, Mogarén, Monte Alto and Aya.
Each restaurant on the route offers a pairing, between a dish made with local produce ( black pig, potatoes, almonds, black pudding, honey, cheeses, goat …), and an island wine. Diners can easily register online with their ticket, leave their reviews of their favourite establishments and will automatically enter a raffle.
