
50º Carnival Las Palmas de Gran Canaria 2026
The Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Carnival will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2026, with an edition scheduled from January 23 to March 1.
The capital will be transformed into “Las Vegas” to celebrate 50 years of Carnival in the city, with around forty events.
In addition to the announced proclamation on 23 January, the calendar of events includes the Choreographic Festival and the Children’s Murgas (January 24), the Children’s Throne Gala (January 25), the Drag Pre-selection (January 30), the Adult Costume Contest (January 31), the Night of Transformists (February 1), the four phases of murgas (February 2, 3, 4 and 5), children’s comparsas and the Adult Comparsas Contest (February 6), the Murgas Final (February 7), the Canine Carnival and Gala of the Great Lady (February 8), the Integration Gala (February 9), the Queen’s Gala (February 13), the Family Carnival (February 14), Body Makeup (February 15), the Children’s Parade and Shrove Tuesday (February 17), the Drag Queen Gala (February 20), the Grand Parade (February 28) and Viudas a la carrera (“Widows on the Run”) and the Burial of the Sardine (March 1).
The Family Carnival will be joined by three Day Carnivals (February 17, 21, and March 1). The festive calendar will also include seven Carnival nights (February 13, 14, 16, 20, 21, 27, and 28).
