Agüimes Christmas Program 2025-26 🎄✨
The municipality of Agüimes will experience a multitude of activities this Christmas, running until the arrival of the Three Kings. Following the traditional Christmas market this weekend, the various neighbourhoods of the municipality will host concerts, children’s workshops, family shows, and open-air dances, filling every corner of Agüimes with a festive atmosphere.
From November 28th to 30th, over fifty stalls will offer a wide variety of products in Plaza del Rosario, transforming the historic centre into a meeting point for locals and visitors for the Christmas market. The event will also feature a dozen recreational, musical, and family activities.

The fair will open its doors on Friday at 17:00. Various children’s entertainment events, including bouncy castles, balloon twisting, and roaming characters. Simultaneously, the Orlando Hernández Museum will host the Magic Corner, a space dedicated to fantasy and Christmas that is sure to delight the little ones. The opening day will also feature a performance by the Agüimes Band, which will give a concert in Plaza del Rosario between 20:00 and 21:00.
On Saturday, the program continues from early morning, with children’s entertainment from 10:00 and the ‘Clown Kikiriki’ show between 11:00 and 13:00. The Magic Corner will once again offer two sessions, one in the morning (10:00 to 14:00) and another in the afternoon (17:00 to 21:00). During the afternoon, children can also enjoy a circus performance and free balloons. The day will conclude with a performance by the Gospel Choir, which will fill the square with music and emotion from 20:15 to 21:10.
On Sunday, the market’s final day, magic will take centre stage with the ‘Aníbal the Magician’ show at 12:00 in Plaza del Rosario. Children’s entertainment will continue between 10:00 and 15:00, along with the final session of the Magic Corner, which will run from 10:00 to 14:00.
Music plays a central role in the program. On December 12th, the Agüimes Municipal Band will perform a recital at the Arinaga Wharf Pavilion. This will be followed by a performance from the Gran Canaria Big Band on December 13th at the Auditorium Theatre, as well as various Christmas recitals by the Municipal School of Music, Dance, and Theatre, taking place between December 16th and 18th.
Young children will also have the opportunity to enjoy numerous activities. The Christmas Route will once again tour the neighbourhoods of Agüimes with workshops, children’s attractions, visits from the Royal Page, and themed shows, running from December 19th to January 4th. This route allows families to enjoy various children’s shows, magic acts, Christmas stories, and activities in the most emblematic locations throughout the municipality’s neighbourhoods. Meanwhile, the charity toy drive will take place on December 14th in Plaza del Rosario, in collaboration with the La Salle Association of Agüimes. The Sports Schools’ Christmas Festival will be held on December 17th at the Cruce de Arinaga Sports Centre. The program also includes excursions, Christmas baking workshops, a senior citizens’ gathering, and a diverse calendar of sporting and cultural activities.

At 19:00, after a well-deserved rest, the Three Wise Men will be the stars of the 71st edition of the Magna Cabalgata y Auto de los Reyes Magos de Agüimes. They will be accompanied by hundreds of volunteers from the town, who will participate in the royal procession, interpreting the different stations. Organised by the La Salle Association, with the collaboration of the Agüimes Town Hall, the Cavalcade will once again be the most eagerly awaited event of all the festivities for the children of the municipality.
