Día Internacional de la Infancia / World Children’s Day Fair – Mogán

Pérez Galdós Square in Arguineguín, Mogán will be filled with colour and fun on Saturday, November 15th, with a variety of family activities to commemorate World Children’s Day. This is a free event, taking place from 10:00 to 14:00.

An American track, face painting, inflatables, a cheese-making workshop, a petting farm, a mini-car track, a photo booth, a play area for children ages 0 to 3, and many more surprises will be available to families who decide to join in the celebration, which will get going at 09:30 with the “Announcing Float” parading through the streets of the fishing village of Arguineguín. The day’s finale will be La Chiquipanda and their fun dance games.

World Children’s Day was established in 1954 as Universal Children’s Day and is celebrated each year on 20 November. The day aims to promote international unity, raise global awareness among children, and support efforts to improve their well-being. This date holds special significance — on 20 November 1959, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Declaration of the Rights of the Child, and thirty years later, in 1989, the Assembly adopted the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
