Gran Canaria will host the fourth edition of the ETB Gran Canaria Pro, the international championship that brings together the best bodyboarders from all over Europe. This event, part of the European Tour of Bodyboarding and organised by the European Surfing Federation, is held from October 2 to 5 at Las Canteras beach, at the La Cícer wave, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. 🌊.🏄🌊
With more than 120 athletes from around the world participating, the ETB Gran Canaria Pro 2025 is one of the most comprehensive bodyboarding events, covering all disciplines: Men’s, Women’s, Junior, and Dropknee. This event is already established on the international scene and on the European tour as one of the competitions with the highest number of entries in each of its editions. This competition is once again part of the Canary Islands bodyboarding circuit, part of the Canary Islands Surfing Federation.
Coming from places such as Portugal, France, Morocco, the Reunion Islands, and England, among others, this completes a roster of athletes, 48% of whom come from outside Spain. Champions with world, international, and national titles will once again gather in Gran Canaria to offer the best bodyboarding show on the La Cícer wave. A foreign expedition will join the talent of the best Canarian riders to fight for European titles in each category. The 2025 ‘European Tour of Bodyboard’ will make its third stop of the year in Gran Canaria (Spain), after stopping in Lisbon (Portugal) and Tenerife (Spain), and concluding the circuit in Morocco.
A truly elite lineup for this 2025 edition will feature world champions such as Armide Soliveres, Amaury Laverhne, Alexandra Rinder, Jorge Hernández, and Alexander Montes, among others. Prominent competitors from outside Spain, such as Moroccan Anas Haddar and current European champion Teresa Pradela from Portugal, will make up one of the highest-level teams of all its editions.
Almost four decades after the first bodyboarding competition held in Spain, which took place at the La Cícer wave, the ETB Gran Canaria Pro 2025 consolidates Las Palmas de Gran Canaria as a benchmark for urban beach sports, with one of the most versatile waves for bodyboarding in all of Europe. A mandatory stop on the European circuit starting in 2022, it is an unmissable event for all bodyboarding enthusiasts, who will be able to enjoy the greatest live bodyboarding spectacle in a perfect location for a few days.
