The Parish of San Mateo celebrates with faith and devotion the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes between 11-16 February 2025, with a special program of Masses and liturgical events.
“The Virgin of Lourdes has her own hermitage located in the old town of the municipality, and where the farmers of the Market made their offerings to her. But nowadays, the fame of this festival is religious in nature, just like that of the Virgin of Fatima.
A mass is held in the Church and then a small procession is held to the doors of the Municipal Market, since she is the patron saint of farmers. At the same time as the procession takes place, the image is accompanied by the parishioners and the noise of firecrackers and fireworks.
Upon reaching the Market, there is silence, and then a small thanksgiving is said to say goodbye to the Virgin who is returned to her hermitage.”

Day 11: Anointing of the sick.
Day 14: Mass for the deceased of the Parish.

12:00 – Solemn Mass and procession.
