
FIESTA DEL PINO 2025 – TEROR
Teror is celebrating ‘Fiestas del Pino’, in Honour of Nuestra Señora del Pino (Our Lady of the Pine), the patron of the island of Gran Canaria, between 24 August – 28 September 2025.
Pine Festivities is loaded with festive and religious activities, in addition to traditional events and around twenty popular concerts. The main days of festivities mean road closures and parking restrictions in Teror.
Monday 8 September is a Bank holiday on Gran Canaria:
The feast of the Patron Saint of Gran Canaria, Our Lady of the Pine, Nuestra Señora del Pino.
There are also major traffic restrictions to access Teror on 7,8, and 14 September 2025

1 September:
12:00 The traditional Flag Raising will take place at the Basilica of El Pino, accompanied by several minutes of bell ringing, fireworks, and firecrackers. This marks the beginning of the religious program of the Fiesta del Pino.

20:30 The 33rd edition of the Gran Canaria Folklore Festival in Teror’s Plaza de Sintes
Sunday, 7 September
16:00 The 73rd edition of the traditional Pilgrimage-Ofrenda del Pino, representing the 21 municipalities and the Gran Canaria Island Council.The procession will be led by the cart from the host municipality, Teror, followed by that of the Gran Canaria Island Council, co-organiser of the festivities in honour of the Patron Saint of the Canarian Diocese, followed by those from La Aldea de San Nicolás and Mogán, which, due to their geographical distance, are not included in the lottery that has been held for the past twenty years.
The municipalities of Arucas, Artenara, Agüimes, Santa Lucía de Tirajana, Valsequillo, Firgas, Telde, Vega de San Mateo, Tejeda, Moya, Santa María de Guía, Ingenio, Gáldar, Valleseco, Santa Brígida, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Agaete, and San Bartolomé de Tirajana will then participate in the pilgrimage-offering. The Tejeguate folklore group from El Hierro, the Los Toledo group from La Graciosa, and the Los Trigales folklore group from Tenerife will also participate in the pilgrimage procession.
Friday 12 September
20:00 A massive parade will bring together 300 timple players in Teror, who have voluntarily agreed to participate in this unique collective musical experience that will prelude the start of the Teresa de Bolívar Meeting.
20:30 The 36th Teresa de Bolívar Popular Music Gathering, featuring artists from the Canary Islands, Cuba, Peru, and Venezuela. The event will be held free of charge in Plaza de Sintes.
26-27 September:
