Fiestas del Carmen La Isleta 2024, LPA

The old quarter for the fishermen of La Isleta, situated on a small peninsula in the capital, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria will start their Fiestas del Carmen celebration on 6 July and the festivities will continue until 28 July 2024.

There is a Aurora procession every morning at 05:00, from Monday 8 July until the Feast Day. The route changes a bit each time but it is always from Benartemi to Benartemi

Saturday 6 July:
at 12:00 Ringing of the bells and lively street procession.
Route: Benartemi, Palmas, Benecharo, La Naval, Junta de Obras, Atindana, Tecén Benartemi
at 21:00 Pregón, proclamation, followed by a concert by Bamboleo. Calle Benartemi

Monday 8 July:
at 20:00 Noche canaria on Calle Benartemi

Friday 12 July:
at 21:00 80′ Night with La Quinta Marcha on Calle Benartemi

Saturday 13 July:
at 17:00 Foam Party at the León y Castillo schools sports court

Monday 15 July: Víspera/eve
at 08:00 Diana Floreada, a lively street procession accompanied by Charange Archipiélago

at 20:00 Livelys street procession with a Canarian music group Amigos Isleños

15-16 July Night
00:00 Firework spectacle and church bells, followed by an early morning festive procession with Banda Guiniguada and papagüevos (big paper mache dolls). Route: Benartemi, Palmar, Majadilla, Bandama, Coronel Rocha, Aremota, Fatga, Arauz, Palmar, Benecharo, Tamarán, Umiaga and Benartemi

 

Thursday 18 July:
at 20:30 Childrenś Queen election Gala at Plaza Ingeniero Manuel Becerra.

Friday 19 July:
at 21:00 The Grand Election Gala of the Queen of the festivities and Miss Isleta 2024
Lively festive night to follow with Armonía Show orchestra at Plaza Ingeniero Manuel Becerra

Saturday 20 July:
at 17:00 Carts, festive party gathering to Explanada de El Sebadal
at 18:00 Romería Maritimo, pilgrimage offering starts
Route: Explanada de El Sebadal, Roque Nublo, Palmar, Artemi Semidán, Osorio, Tamarán, Umiaga, Bernartemi (offering), Plaza Igeniero Manuel Becerra, followed by music and dancing at the plaza
at 21:00 Rama Canaria procession with Banda Isleña.
Route: Benartemi, Palmar, Benecharo, Tamarán, Tanausú, Fontanales, Artemi Semidán, Tauro, Benartemi and Plaza Ingeniero 
at 23:00 Gran Verbena, big festive part with Grupo Arena and Leyenda Joven at Plaza Ingeniero Manuel Berecca

Sunday 21 Jul: Día del Hombre del Mar 
at 17:00 eucharist
at 18:00 Start of the Maritime procession by taking the image of the Virgen to the harbour.
Route; Benartemi, Juan Rejón to the harbour
at 19:30, the Maritime procession starts with the image and after the arrival back to the harbour the return procession back via Calle La Naval and Benartemi.

Friday 26 July:
at 21:00  Drag Queen Gala, followed by a festive night with music at Plaza Ingeniero Manuel Becerra

Saturday 27 July:
at 21:00 Festive procession with Banda de Agaete.
Route: Benartemi, Umiaga, Tamarán, Osorio, Artemi Semidán, Faycanes, Menceys, Malfü, Palmar, Andamana and Plaza Ingeniero Manuel Becerra
at 21:30 Edwin Rivera Plaza del ingeniero Manuel Becerra (Escenario principal), followed by more music throughout the evening until late…
Sunday 28 July:
at 11:00 a Daytime festive party at the Plaza
at 12:00 Grand Paella del Carmen
at 17:00 eucharist, followed by a land procession.
