Fiestas del Pino 2024 – Arinaga, Agüimes
Arinaga will celebrate its festivities in honour of the Virgen del Pino from 17 August to 12 September 2024 with a packed program of cultural, recreational, and sporting events. Among the most eagerly awaited activities is the 28th edition of ‘La Vará del Pescao’, which this year will be held on Friday 30 August. Two other important events in the program will be the ‘Una Mar de Encanto’ music festival (23 and 24 August), which will be headlined by the Tenerife singer-songwriter Pedro Guerra, and the ‘Mareas Vivas’ youth gathering (6 September), which will take place in the new Arinaga skatepark with music, graffiti exhibitions and skating and calisthenics competitions.

Saturday, August 17:
at 11:00 ‘Sharing Arinaga’ on Avenida Polizón. This is a family activity that will include workshops, games and inflatable attractions. In the afternoon, a new event of ‘A Summer in the Open Air’ will take place, with the children’s play ‘La Reina Leona’ and performances by Atacayte La Clave and Buena Vibra.
Sunday, 18 August
the first of the different sporting events of the festivities will be held at the Municipal Sports Centre, the Raid de Arinaga 2024, a multidisciplinary sports competition that consists of completing a predetermined route with the help of a map and a compass, as well as specific tests of strength, balance, and precision
23-24 August:
‘Una Mar de Encanto’ festival, which will be held on the stage installed in the Soco Negro. The line-up will be headed this year by the singer-songwriter Pedro Guerra and will also feature performances by the band Maldita EGB, the singer Melié, and the group City Dock Band.
Activities for all audiences will take place on August 24, 25 and 27, with a children’s show by Giuseppe Salchichone, music by Rodian and Kalima Limón and the fair for Family Day on Tuesday 27th from 17:00 in the square.
Friday 30 August: La Vará del Pescao
17:30 The most popular event of the festivities La Vará del Pescao will celebrate its 28th edition. Start from the First Aid Station, with music by the folklore groups Tabaiba and Merita la Pena. The boat with the fish is scheduled to arrive at 18:00 and afterwards the procession will take place along the Avenida de Los Pescadores, beginning the route in the Risco Verde area.
The party will continue in the square at night, starting at 22:00, with the street party enlivened by Star Music and Grupo Arena. The fireworks from the Muelle, the culmination of La Vará, will arrive at 23:00.
After the fireworks show, the music will start on the Avenue, both in the Ficus area, with performances by Yeray Socorro and Apolo GC, and in the vicinity of the First Aid Station, with DJ Antonio Boada.
Monday 2 September 2:
at 17:00 Family Day will be celebrated again with special prices at the fair and attractions located in the area around Plaza de Arinaga.
Wedensday 4 September:
at 21:00 the Ballet Sensación variety show will take place
Thursday 5 September:
at 21:00 music of the singer Apolo GC will liven up the pedestrian area of Avenida Polizón.
Friday 6 September:
Fans of art and urban sports will be the stars of the Mareas Vivas youth event, in the Arinaga Urban Park. The event will serve to inaugurate the new skatepark , the largest of its kind in the Canary Islands. From 5:00 p.m., there will be skate, calisthenics and graffiti competitions, accompanied by music by DJ Alejo Sánchez.
On the same day, 6 September, starting at 22:00 the ‘Noche de Versiones’ will be held in the square, with performances by Señor Natilla and Los Salvapantallas. The stage in the square will also host on 7 September, starting at 22:30 the street party enlivened by Armonía Show and Ritmo Bakano and on 8 September, at 21:30 the performance of the group La Trova.
