Fiestas del Pino 2025 – Arinaga, Agüimes

Arinaga is celebrating their most important festivities, Fiestas del Pino, between 17 August – 14 September 2025, with more than thirty recreational, sporting, cultural, and religious activities.

Highlights include the Una Mar de Encanto music festival (August 22 and 23), the Mareas Vivas youth gathering (September 5), and, above all, the eagerly awaited and always well-attended Vará del Pescao, which pays tribute to the memory of the families who gave rise to this unique coastal enclave in the municipality of Agüimes.

Saturday 16 August:
at 12:00 the program will kick off with the celebration of the ‘Un Verano al Aire Libre‘ event (A Summer in the Open Air) at Soco Negro, a series of performances featuring Chispita Clown at 12:00 and the music groups Viejo Cafetín and Estrella Latina at 18:00.

Sunday 17 August: 
Starting at 09:00, nearly 300 athletes will participate in the 25th edition of the Raid de Arinaga, a multidisciplinary sporting event with specific tests of strength, balance, and precision, on an orienteering course that may only be completed using natural, non-motorised means of progression, with the sole aid of a map and compass.

Thursday 21 August:
at 21:00 the singer Apolo will headline a new ‘Pinchos Nights’ concert on Avenida Polizón, which will continue every Thursday of the festivities.

Friday 22 August:
at 17:00 the fun fair, located in the plaza’s parking lot, next to the church, will open until September 8.

Una Mar de Encanto – A Sea of Charm Festival
The first of the two days of the intercultural festival Una Mar de Encanto will take place at Soco Negro.
From 17:00 Artisan and gastronomy area opens

at 21:00 Entre Ilhas will perform. This group consists of musicians Adé Da Costa, Pablo Queu, Ner Suárez, Yone Rodríguez, Olushola Emmanuel, Ed Moreira, and Sylvie Hernández, bringing to Arinaga an original repertoire inspired by the folklore of the four archipelagos of Macaronesia.
at 22:30 it will be the turn of the legendary Canarian folk group Non Trubada, celebrating their 33rd anniversary on stage and over time becoming one of the most prominent exponents of the Nueva Canción Canaria movement. The festival will continue

Friday 29 August: ‘Vará del Pescao’

The highlight of the 2025 Pino Festival program, starting at 17:30 and lasting well into the night. Avenida de Los Pescadores will be the main stage for the 29th edition of the popular Vará del Pescao (Fish Vault), an event sure to once again bring together thousands of people to pay tribute to Arinaga’s seafaring past, to the rhythm of parrandas and the taste of grilled sardines. Special public transport services will be available, which can be consulted on the municipal website  aguimes.es/movilidad , and more than a thousand parking spaces will be available near the Industrial Park for those who prefer to use their own vehicles.

at 17:30 The fun starts from the First Aid Station, with music by the folklore groups Tabaiba and Merita la Pena. The boat with the fish is scheduled to arrive at 18:00, and afterwards the procession will take place along the Avenida de Los Pescadores, beginning the route in the Risco Verde area.

The party will continue in the Plaza de Arinaga, starting at 22:30, with the street party enlivened by Star Music, Grupo Arena and DJ Promaster.
The fireworks from the Muelle (pier), the culmination of La Vará, at 23:00.

Earlier, in the area of Ficus, there is music on offer at 17:00 with Yeray Socorro and Apolo, as well as in the Soco negro area by Parranda El Lejío.

Saturday 30 August: 
at 20:30 the Argones Folk Festival will take place in Plaza Arinaga, followed by Verbena, the traditional lively street party with Lady’s del Swing and Línea DJ.

Sunday 31 August:
at 11:30 the 28th edition of the Arinaga Swimming Crossing will take place. Five hundred athletes will enjoy the pleasure of competing in one of the best bays in the Canary Islands for open-water swimming.
12:00 Children’s show by ‘Aníbal, the magician’
13:00 Charity paella and music starts at 13:30 with Rodián, Domingo Quintana, Yet Garbey and La Buena Vibra.
at 19:00 the music will move to Plaza Arinaga with an afternoon of covers by Maldita EGB and Señor Natilla.

Tuesday 3 September:
17:00 Family Day at the fun fair, special prices (€2)
21:00 Ballet Sensación Gala at Plaza Arinaga

Friday 5 September:
16:00-22:00 ‘Mareas Vivas’ youth event in the Arinaga Urban Park aimed at young people between the ages of 14 and 30. The event is free and will feature competitions and exhibitions in calisthenics,  skateboarding, graffiti, urban music and dance, as well as workshops, food trucks, a climbing wall, and games.

Fiesta Ochentera de Los 40 Classic
That same evening, the action will move to Plaza de Arinaga for the 80s Party organised by Los 40 Classic.
Starting at 22:30, Da Igual, a Spanish pop-punk band currently comprised of Wences Sánchez (vocals and guitar) and Alex Pouget (guitar and backing vocals), will perform. The event will close at midnight with Juan Borrás, DJ from Los 40 Classic, who will spin the best Spanish and international music from the penultimate decade of the 20th century.

Saturday 6 September:
22:00 Noche Salsera at Plaza Arinaga with Son de Almizcle, Son del Caney and Son Caché

Sunday 7 September: 
22:30 Verbena, a lively street party at Plaza Arinaga with Armonía show, Leyenda Joven and DJ event Music

Monday 8 September: 
08:00 Pilgrims will start their jouyney from the Cruce de Arinaga church to the temple of Our Lady of the Pine in Arinaga.
