The Fiestas del Rosario in Vegueta, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, a religious and cultural celebration honouring the Virgin of the Rosary, patron saint of the city, with processions, religious services, and traditional activities, are celebrated between 26 September and 5 October 2025.
These festivities in the historic centre have their roots in popular devotion to the Virgin of the Rosary and date back several centuries. They are one of the city’s most important celebrations, combining religious and cultural traditions. The festivities reflect Vegueta’s cultural identity, combining religious elements with folklore, music, traditional dances, and events that unite the community in honour of its patron saint. During the festivities, processions honouring the Virgin of the Rosary, solemn masses, cultural activities, concerts, traditional dances, and events for all ages are held in different locations throughout the neighbourhood.

Thursday, September 25:
17:00 Decorating of the Plaza de Santo Domingo and the streets of the neighbourhood.
19:30 Inauguration of the exhibition of posters announcing the “XVI Night of Boleros” held in the Plaza de Santo Domingo (until October 2).
20:30 Rosario ronda and Serenata for the decorated balconies by the Order of the Cachorro Canario. Procession leaving from the registered office of the order of the Cachorro Canario in the Plaza de Santo Domingo to continue through Calles Toledo, Hernán Pérez of grade, Corregidor Aguirre, Ventura Ramírez, Salvador Calderón, Fernando Inglott, Antonio de Viana, Nuez Aguilar, Fernando Galván, San Marcos, and García Tello back to the Plaza de Santo Domingo.

20:30 Jam Session Reggae, organised by Guancostudio. Bring your instruments and your desire to enjoy live reggae music, and share musical improvisations with music lovers. It will end with a musical selection of the genre.
Sunday, October 5:
11:00 Mass Canaria, by the Tamarco folk group, with an offering to the Virgen del Rosario.
12:00 Procession of Ntra. Mrs. del Rosario accompanied by Parrandas Canarias. Procession leaving from the church of Santo Domingo de Guzmán to continue through the streets García Tello, Católicos Reyes, Hernán Pérez de Grade, Paseo de San José and Sor Brígida Castelló to the parish in the Plaza de Santo Domingo.
