Festivities in honour of San Rafael in Vecindario, municipality of Santa Lucía de Tirajana are celebrated between 12-27 October 2024. This is a festival to celebrate the city, tradition and culture.
Highlights:
Saturday 12 October:
at 20:15 Raising of flags and the ringing of bells to kick off the festivities, which this year will have as herald Cayi Suárez, a resident of the municipality and general secretary of Cáritas de Canarias. The herald will be accompanied musically by Paula Torres (cello), Zaida Jiménez (voice) and Juan Sebastián Ramírez on the guitar.
After the opening speech in the Plaza de San Rafael, at around 21:15, there will be the Baile de Taifa, organised by ACDR El Zaguán, with performances by the Imoque Folklore Group (Tenerife) and Parranda del Cura. The ‘La Revoliá’ School of Garrote will also take part.

Sunday 13 October:
at 09:00 the program will continue at the La Unión Sports Centre with the Santa Lucía Suresanta 3×3 Basketball Tournament.
at 10:00 the XXXIII San Rafael Urban Mile in the pedestrian zone of Avenida de Canarias.
In the evening at 20:30 La Trova concert in the Plaza de Santa Rafael.
The program of events continues on Monday 14th and Tuesday 15th on Avenida de Canarias with children’s activities. On Wednesday with a dance for the elderly and chocolate and churros during the break in the Plaza de San Rafael. Street parties, tournaments, performances and many other events are scheduled until Saturday.
