Maspalomas Costa Canaria Soul Festival 2024
Maspalomas Costa Canaria Soul Festival 2024 is held from July 19 to 21 down on the San Agustín beachfront, in the touristed southern municipality of San Bartolome de Tirajana.
This soulful event has been consolidated, in its own right, as one of the most important summer music events in the Canary Islands. Thousands of spectators attend every year, since its auspicious beginnings in 2015, to become a wildly popular, free, and family-friendly event. This festival is the only one of its kind held in Spain dedicated to live swing, soul, funk, and international R&B music and was created by DD&Company Producciones under the auspices of Porretta Soul Festival, held every year in Italy, and has the backing of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana town Council, which organises and sponsors the event.
Among the highlights of this edition, we have the presence of Jonathan Ellison, an artist with talent and charisma, with a great ability to connect with the public and transmit emotions. Jerome Chism, whose powerful and nuanced voice will take us on a journey through the very soul of soul; Gerald Richardson, an artist born in Memphis and who has lived from the roots the coordinates that soul marks; and Wendy Moten, with her warm and powerful voice, a true gift for all attendees, an opportunity to enjoy an artist at the peak of her career.
And, of course, we are privileged to have Martha High, a living soul legend who has shared the stage with the greatest and whose career is a source of inspiration. Together with the Julián Maeso Organ Trío, Martha High will offer us a show that promises to be one of the highlights of the festival, a meeting of talent and passion that will remain engraved in our memories. There is also no shortage of local artists, always present on every occasion, and represented this time by a magnificent formation, the City Dock Band, in which experienced musicians stand out, but also young talents from the Gran Canaria musical circuit.
