
Terrae Gran Canaria – International Rural Gastonomy Meeting – Agüimes
Agüimes will host the third Terrae Gran Canaria International Rural Gastronomy Meeting from March 23rd to 25th. This congress is led by restaurateurs and producers who operate in sparsely populated areas. Its extensive program includes roundtable discussions, culinary demonstrations, dinners, and popular events. Fifty chefs and producers from Europe, Latin America, and North America will participate. Special guest will be Colombian Leonor Espinosa, who in 2022 was ranked the best chef in the world on The World’s 50 Best Restaurants list.
The first event open to the public will be a popular event, taking place on Sunday, 23 March from 11:45-16:00 in Plaza del Rosario. Attendees will be able to delight their palates with recipes by Jesús Colorado from Salamanca, Vicent Guimerà and Joan Capilla from Tarragona, Nacho Solana and David Pérez from Cantabria, and António Queiroz and Lídia Brás from Portugal. There will also be Canarian representation with Manolo González from La Tunera in Telde, Adrián García, and Killian Nordelo from Catedral Bistró in Arucas, and Nisamar González from Magec Café & Burger Bar in Agüimes. During the event, guests will also be able to sample exquisite wines and cheeses made on the island of Gran Canaria.
