A sponsored sunset solidarity walk from Shopping Centre Puerto Rico to Playa de Amadores and back again, 5+ km (3+ miles),

Think Pink for October! – October is International Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to celebrate all women & survivors, all fighters & their families!

We are just asking you to raise 15€
With which to Sign-Up for your T-shirt.

But we´ll give you 2 T-shirts for a donation of 20€

Of course the more you can raise the better!

So why not start coming up with exciting FUNdraising ideas… people could sponsor every step you take, or your outrageous fancy dress, or could make you carry a sign with a ridiculous message, they could sponsor you to walk backwards, ordinary it in your underpants, or dressed as a giant booby, or to walk an invisible dog, or… well you get the idea. Make it fun and ask friends, families and strangers alike to support your efforts to help your island and your local community.

We are asking businesses in Puerto Rico de Gran Canaria to Think Pink for October, to display one of our posters, and show their solidarity and their support for these important causes by decorating their businesses with pink ribbons in time for Friday September 28th so that by the 30th everybody knows what’s happening.

Raising funds and awareness for the Canarian Breast Cancer and Gynecological Cancer Association, Asociación Canaria de Cáncer de Mama y Ginecológico ACCMyG.org & for the Mogán Neighbours Food Project Proyecto Vecinal de Alimentos de Mogán Nabohjelpen, as both charitable associations do a huge amount to help women, fighters, survivors & families in their time of need here on Gran Canaria.

We´d love you to make a donation, or simply to get one or more of our tshirts or other fund raising merchandise. Let´s all help turn Puerto Rico Pink!

6 years after our very first Walk Against Cancer in Puerto Rico, which led directly to The Long Walk and several other similar initiatives, we want to invite the residents and visitors of Puerto Rico de Gran Canaria to walk with us once more, from Puerto Rico, to Amadores and back again, along the lovely coastal path of the most popular resort on Gran Canaria’s Costa Mogán.

Puerto Rico Walk For Cancer Survivors & Local Families in Need is being coordinated in association with THE PUB at Shopping Center Puerto Rico and many others besides!
